~ infinitely powerful, powerfully infinite ~

Vaheguru Jio <3

So tonight (a couple of hours ago), I somehow ended up going to a (Sikhi related) discussion session. It was pretty interesting... we talked about Judgement/ judging others and where to draw the line while critically criticizing/ advising/ showing someone the right path- when we know for a fact that we are not quite there yet- for ourselves.
Some fairly cool points surfaced...
At some point, I proposed that we all bear the light of God & the Guru which drives out all the urge/ need to judge others, and besides only the one who is infinitely perfect (such as Guru Ji & Akaal Purakh Vaheguru) gets to judge... And we don't quite need to evangelize as Sikhs...
*-* But at the end of it all, I felt that sometimes we seem to deny their possibility of seeing God/ Guru Ji/ Akaal Purakh Vaheguru in all; while we completely acknowledge the idea proposed by Guru Amar Das Ji maharaj that-
ay sareeraa mayri-aa har tum meh jot rakhee taa too jag meh aa-i-aa.
O my body, the Lord infused His Light into you, and then you came into the world.
and the idea by Bhagat Ravidaas Ji in Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj- in the shabad:
 ਤੋਹੀ ਮੋਹੀ ਮੋਹੀ ਤੋਹੀ ਅੰਤਰੁ ਕੈਸਾ
Ŧohī mohī mohī ṯohī anṯar kaisā.
You are me, and I am You-what is the difference between us?
I feel that sometimes we, seem to think that it is absolutely true that Guru Ji & Akaal Purakh Vaheguru's Jot (light) resides within each one of us. Each one of us is a fragment of Pita Ji's amazingness. But when it comes to believing that everyone, including ourselves have Guru Ji inside of us- or are Guru Ji's essence- a lot of people shudder, which I can understand- but with a grain of salt.
Here's what I felt the common question was- If God resides within us, then where does He end and where do we start? Lets put it in this way: we attribute our good deeds & accomplishments to God & the Guru and when we do something bad, who is responsible for it?- are we still god & the Guru- are we still able to think that there's no concept of me & I, its all God...
Fair enough- good point... But wasn't God Limitless? Wasn't He kinda Oh so amazing & Omnipotent, Omnipresent?
but here's what someone who kinda concluded the session said- realizing that we all have God's light within us is the Ideal- where we cannot quite get during this lifetime- because there are the 5 vices constantly attacking us- (I'm hoping that this person meant to add- I didn't get to counter-question him- we had to end) unless we defeat the 5 vices- we cannot realize the one-ness of all & the  existence of God & the Guru in everyone.

My objection (& the reason for this post) is that why can't we just accept that everyone has God within them & live in that consciousness? Why do people think that we first need to be perfectly Kaam- free, Krodh-free, Lobh-free, Moh-free, Ahankaar-free, to start thinking the ideal. If you think that a certain something is ideal & you'd like to get there one day, then why wouldn't you start thinking like that ideal-self you wanna become one day, today... right now, as soon as you realize that 'that ideal' is where you wanna go ?

This really intrigues me, perhaps because I am technically too optimistic & pro-choice, I guess- to a level that I think (& I might be unrealistic in some peoples perspective) that I truly believe that we behave a certain way based on what we choose to think.... & perhaps because I guess that I am not religious- Sikhi for me is not a religion, it's a relationship- my relationship... with Pita Ji Maharaj- very personal- more on a spiritual level than as a set of rules or a structured religious discipline... [even though the religious discipline just gradually happened to me, as I surrendered & gave my life at Pita Ji's Charan Kamal b/c of how amazing the relationship gets despite all the struggling- rather than me choosing it on day one of my relationship with Guru Ji that I shall be blessed with Amrit & 5 K's & Dastaar & a Rehit & I'm still not quite there yet with the commitment- I just really want to & try to... ]
In my relationship with God- Sri Akaal Purakh Vaheguru & Pita Ji Maharaaj, I've felt that once I took it for granted that we all had an essence of Guru Ji (& God) within us, it all started to work out. This relationship was not always so good- initially, there was a lot of struggle- but when I started believing & looking at everyone & everything as Vaheguru things started to come together. Just looking at anyone's (& everyone's) Charan felt like looking at Pita Ji's Charan Kamal. Saying Vaheguru instead of Hello- just reminded me that I was talking to the soul (which IS Vaheguru / Pita Ji's Light) not the body.
I know its not that easy, we do get constantly attacked by the 5 vices- we absolutely do. And I personally- do for sure, I get angry, I become too easily attached, I feel Kaami ( too often =P ), I feel like I want so much- perhaps more than the other people (greedy), and I absolutely become Egotistical & think of the "Me" & "I" far too often- perhaps the focus is always "Me" & "I".
This definitely is true that we cannot completely see God in all, until we let go of the 5 vices- our Ego, lust, anger, greed, attachment...
But I feel that we can certainly give it a shot & we will get somewhere if we truly give it a sincere, heart-felt try. But if we just think that it is an ideal, almost unattainable concept of self that we somehow want to achieve, but can't quite- then how will we ever get there?

My conclusion: buddy, try! You'll see that nothing is so unattainable after all- you will need Guru Ji's Kirpa- but you must try to jump & take a leap- only then Pita Ji will have you fly over the entire universe.

What helps? I dunno- but what has helped me- is certainly trying my best to ALWAYS- day & night- every breath think of Pita Ji & Chant His name- VAHEGURU... and staying in that meditative mode- you will see no difference between those you meet & Guru Ji...
hmmmm.... what else.... Meditating as much as ever possible- everywhere- in the bus, at home, everywhere, all the time...

And I shall leave you tonight with this:

Sree Raag:

You are me, and I am You-what is the difference between us?
We are like gold and the bracelet, or water and the waves. ||1||
If I did not commit any sins, O Infinite Lord,
how would You have acquired the name, 'Redeemer of sinners'? ||1||Pause||
You are my Master, the Inner-knower, Searcher of hearts.
The servant is known by his God, and the Lord and Master is known by His servant. ||2||
Grant me the wisdom to worship and adore You with my body.
O Ravi Daas, one who understands that the Lord is equally in all, is very rare. ||3||
see, even Guru Ji says that the understanding is rare- but I don't see the word impossible there... Also, Sikhi is rare, Being blessed with Amrit is rare- Pita Ji took care of that (Vahgeuru!)- He can certainly get us to the rare ideal as well. Just always do an Ardaas to stay at Pita Ji;s Charan Kamal & you are covered!

Alrightie,
Have a good Night =)
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Wahgeuru Ji Ki Fateh <3

PS. Remember we set our own limits. If we think that a certain- something is almost unattainable- then it perhaps is, for us...
Oh and that we constitute the mentality that makes Kalyug. We are the ones who make (if ever) this life hell or heaven. we've gotta change ourselves & refuse to sink into this world ocean ... Refuse to give in to Kaam, Krodh, Lobh Moh, Ahankaar- ask for Guru Ji;s help- do an Ardaas- plead at Pita Ji's Charan Kamal
and remind ourselves constantly that we - our bodies, souls & minds are Pita Ji's property- Pita Ji's blessing.
Yeah,
and Have fun folks =) Meditate. Laugh. Breathe. Live in the moment...

Quit worrying
Quit limiting yourselves. You have the power of the Sahibzaadas & the Shaheeds- you are Royalty- Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaaj's (Pita Ji's) son or daughter.  You are infinitely powerful, powerfully infinite. You bear the light of Pita Ji.
How amazing is that?
Ah! I love you all!
{Oh and BTW- I'm Pita Ji's Baby Girl- I dun wanna be just a Daughter- I'm the little one He adores Oh so much =P , Kidding ;) }
Thank you for stopping by & reading my journal

*Love & light* <3 *Hugs & prayers*

  1. Sabh maih jot jot hai soe - the same light pervades all. :) Bliss is the Truth of us but when we resist Source, we feel bad, right? When we forget our origin is when we do silly things. So I see spiritual practice as always remembering, remembering, simran, simran! If you follow rules with a hard heart, you are resisiting Source. Then what use is religion? Because "being right" and making someone else wrong is right out of ego. Sorry! :D Saying that you (as opposed to God within) decide if you're worthy or good enough is also ego. :D Let your fear of unworthiness go! We are all born out of Infinite Love. Remember! Do simran!

Here's a great meditation with the mul mantra:

  2. Vaheguru <3 Thank you Saranpreet!

Everything you say is absolutely amazing, I can sense your vibration, with each interaction we have- and that is adorable!
I love the Pa(n)ktee "Sabh maih jot jot hai soe" and the video is so amazing too- I love it, I've watched it before, and I did again, every time, it refreshes my consciousness & dhyaan.

I feel that this whole web of ego is so vicious & so hard to escape (at least for me)... I absolutely agree that being right- itself comes right outta ego & so is deciding that you are good enough, but for some reason I feel that we have everything we do, because Guru Ji decided to give it to us- like having us on this path of self- evolution, self- awareness, self- improvement (for some), seeking god, etc... itself happened to us, because Guru Ji decided to shower us with His blessings & who is deciding whether or not we deserved all of this? Guru Ji- because He's giving us all of this amazing stuff, including our lives & every breath He blessed us with.
The point I was trying to make & I still deeply feel is that we bear Guru Ji's light, we are Guru's property & we do not need to set limits for ourselves- we don't need to think that we cannot become one with the God or that we can't defeat the 5 vices. We can realize that we are and all others are the light of God- but only with Guru Ji's Kirpa. Only through the true Guru, can we realize that we are infinitely powerful, powerfully infinite.
I guess I'm not opposing someone's point here- I'm trying to delve deeper into my heart & see how I feel about the point he made- I'm trying to see what I truly feel about this; and I believe that I come up with positive affirmations and a strong opposition to thinking that anything is ' an unattainable ideal' & how do I propose we can get to that 'ideal'? by remembering God (/the infinite).
    Hmmm....

I'll go wash dishes now =P

    Talk to you later =)
Take care of yourself Saranpreet <3 Thank you for your comment.
